The Skaginn 3X Automatic Contact Freezers are developed from the well-known Samifi freezer. By combining the experience of Samifi and our innovative technology, our automatic plate freezer is a state of the art freezer, ideal for bulk production with premium quality.
The plate freezers are fully automatic and designed to be loaded on a short time scale with high efficiency and can be placed as an integrated part of a processing line. The freezers come in various sizes and the capacity ranges from 5 to 100 ton per 24 hours.
The plate freezer is designed to maximize product quality by using patented non-pressure technology which ensures quality equal to that of blast freezing, requiring an only quarter of freezing time and energy compared to traditional blast freezing.
Benefits of Non-Pressure Plate Freezing
Results from study carried by Icelandic Food and Biotech R&D Institute Matís have shown that our new freezing technology has superior advantage over traditional blast freezing method. Results show that the NPF method has less drip (2.6%) then one using the blast freezing method (4%). Furthermore, results show no visual differences between the blast- and NPF freezing method.
