Improves thawing yield and minimizes fish drip loss
The system is designed to maximize product quality in the thawing process and minimize drip loss. The immersion thawing method helps maintain product quality with better yield than air thawing. There is no drip loss and the system offers up to 5% yield gain compared to traditional air thawing methods.
Advanced thawing system for IQF or block frozen fish
The RoteX Thawing™ system is an advanced thawing system for IQF or block frozen groundfish, salmon and pelagic fish. The system is designed to preserve the original quality of the raw material and maximize production efficiency and product value. The payback of the system is very fast, as low as one year.
Two stage thawing layout options
We offer a flexible system setup to suit your facility and operational requirements.
The system is sustainable and eco-friendly. It uses only a fraction of the energy required by defrosting chambers that use heat and steam or microwaves and radio frequency systems. RoteX Thawing™ also offers substantial water savings compared to conventional systems. Tub thawing systems use about 5 liters of water for every kg of fish, while the RoteX Thawing™ system uses as little as 0.5 liters for every kg of fish defrosted.
Built-in water filtering system cleans and recycles the water
The FiltreX water filtering system offers a sustainable, recycling of water that is both cost effective and environmentally friendly. All thawing liquid is re-circulated through a 400 µ filtering belt that offers the collection of filtered waste for alternative processing.
FASTER THAWING AND EQUALIZING
Advanced, automatic thawing and equalizing system for a seamless continuous process
Thawing and equalization are performed in separate stages, which secures high production yield and improves shelf life on the refresh market. The system offers a continuous process with two Rotex tanks, one for thawing and the second for equalizing.
Maintains quality of thawed product
Automatic Rotex cooling or equalizing is far more effective than manual cooling due to better temperature control and water circulation. Manual equalization in tubs, vats or totes uses still water with no circulation that is uneven and takes far longer.
Inline thawing for continuous processing of refreshed fish
The fish enters the processing line directly and is maintained inline without any pause in production. The glycol cooling of the water in the Rotex tank maintains an even temperature throughout the process, chilling the fish in an even FIFO throughput.
Software Digital Control
Full digital control of the temperature and duration of the thawing process
Producers have full control over thawing time, water temperature, throughput per hour and energy consumption—all thanks to the software system, which precisely regulates flow and temperature.
The software offers overview of the production and access to all thawing data from start to finish. All measured temperatures, process and control values are recorded and stored in the system for quality assurance purposes. The user-friendly interface and recipe system can also be accessed from any Android and iOS device.
